JohnPaul Morris is a commercial and film writer/director whose win-as-a-team approach and deep understanding of visual effects continually sets his work apart.

He wrote + directed the viral short film Find Me Up North just before his debut feature film Quicksand! — winner of Best Picture (at both Eau Claire International and Soo Film Festival) and Audience Choice (Hell’s Half Mile), and Best Screenplay at the Grand Rapids Film Festival.

This year, he’s continuing to take on commercial video work, consulting on multiple VFX projects, developing 2 new scripts, and his new feature An Autumn Summer (producer) will be released, starring Lukita Maxwell (Shrinking). JohnPaul Morris is based in Traverse City, Michigan.
